M17 Hornsnek Road is currently closed to traffic between the N4 and R566 Rosslyn Road following a head-on collision between a bus and a truck this Friday morning, 10 June 2022.
Initial reports suggest that the bus was coming from Garankuwa when it collided head-on with a truck near Bundu Inn.
11 people have reportedly been killed in the horrific crash, however, this could not be immediately confirmed.
An SA Trucker at the scene and also involved in the initial rescue of victims before emergency services could arrive confirmed that several people have lost their lives.
Motorists are advised to use alternatives as the M17 will be closed for a long time due to the seriousness of the accident.
