One Person Burnt to Death in N1 Crash at the Hendrik Verwoerd Tunnels

One person has been killed in a truck crash on the N1 north just before the Hendrik Verwoerd tunnel outside Makhado this Wednesday afternoon.

According to witnesses at the scene, a female occupant was burnt to death as she was trapped inside the burning vehicle.

As at 17h30, the road was still closed to traffic as authorities attend to the scene.
