A devastating head-on collision between a minibus taxi and a bakkie has resulted in the loss of six lives in the vicinity of Lichtenburg, situated in the North West Province.
This harrowing incident unfolded on the R503 stretch connecting Lichtenburg and Mafikeng on a fateful Sunday afternoon.
Eyewitnesses on the scene recounted the collision, which involved a fully occupied minibus taxi and a bakkie.
The crash left several other individuals with injuries.

Trapped passengers within both vehicles required rescue operations, and once extricated, they were promptly transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment of their severe injuries.
