Tinney, who dedicated over five decades to trucking, succumbed to the illness recently, leaving behind a legacy of camaraderie and invaluable support for fellow truckers on the road.
Tinney’s journey in the trucking industry began in the late 1960s and early 1970s, where he swiftly gained admiration for his expertise behind the wheel.

His dedication to the profession was exemplified by his unwavering commitment to helping and advising fellow truckers, earning him the endearing titles of “Sir Robert” and “Lady Diana.”
In recent years, Tinney cruised the highways in his cherished Peterbilt 362e, a symbol of his passion and commitment to his craft.
Despite battling cancer, Tinney continued to inspire others with his resilience and determination, showcasing the true spirit of a seasoned trucker.

His funeral is scheduled to take place on March 10th at Mobeni Heights Crematorium at 11:30 AM, where friends, family, and colleagues will gather to pay their respects and bid farewell to a beloved member of the trucking fraternity.
