A trucker is lucky to be alive after his truck cab was completely crashed by the container he was transporting when he collided into the back of another truck on the N3 south just before the Heidelberg interchange this Friday morning.
According to N3TC, three trucks were involved in the crash which happened just before 09h00.
Videos and pictures at the scene shows the truck cab crashed below the freight container that he was transporting.
It appears that due to the force of the crash, the container shifted forward crashing the cab and rested on top of it.
Miraculously, the trucker was not trapped in the cab which appears to have been flattened by the freight container.
SA Truckers who arrived at the scene immediately after the accident happened said that the truck driver was seriously injured.

The cause of the accident is not known at this stage, however, authorities were on scene to investigate.
