Watch: Trucker Shot in the Head by Taxi Man for Jumping the Queue on N4 at Lebombo border

A video of a taxi patrol personnel shooting a truck driver in the head on the N4 at Lebombo border post has surfaced online.

In the video, which does not have a specific date, the truck driver captures the incident as the vigilante deliberately deflates the front wheel of his vehicle.

The taxi patrol personnel’s car can be heard blaring a siren and flashing its beacon light in the background.

Following a brief exchange of words between the two individuals, the vigilante disappears from the frame and approaches the front of the truck.

Suddenly, a gunshot is heard, and it is alleged that the vigilante fired at the trucker through the windshield, grazing his head with the bullet.

The trucker turns the camera towards his face, revealing the distressing sight of his bloodied face as a result of the shooting.

Reports have emerged from numerous truck drivers who claim to have experienced physical abuse at the hands of the taxi patrol personnel, who assert their authority over traffic control.

The congestion caused by delays at the Lebombo border post has been a significant issue, with trucks often blocking the N4 highway. This situation appears to have driven the taxi patrol personnel to take matters into their own hands, leading to this disturbing altercation.
