19 people, believed to be from the same family, have been killed when the minibus taxi transporting them home collided with an articulated truck on the R34 highway between Shweizer Reneke and Bloemhof last night.
The circumstances of the Toyota Quantum minibus taxi and side tipper truck collision are not known, RTMC said they would investigate.
RTMC tweeted:
