Four individuals, aged between 29 and 45, were apprehended by members of the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation in Mahikeng on May 30, 2023.
The arrest came after the suspects attempted to sell two Pangolins for R200,000-00.
Acting on information regarding the suspects’ search for potential buyers of the endangered species, the investigative team tracked them down to Mahikeng Mall.
The quartet was caught in possession of the Pangolins at the scene.
