Truck Driver Killed in R31 Crash between Ulco and Koopmansfontein

A devastating collision between two trucks on the R31 route just outside Ulco towards Koopmansfontein on Thursday morning has resulted in the tragic loss of one truck driver’s life, while another has been seriously injured.

The incident occurred when a side tipper truck crashed into the back of a parked rigid truck along the R31 highway.

Eyewitnesses reported that the driver of the rigid truck was outside his vehicle, actively engaged in securing his load when the collision occurred.

Tragically, the truck driver’s body was severely dismembered into two pieces when he was crushed in between the two vehicles.

Passersby who arrived at the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services described a horrific and distressing sight.
