The eThekwini Municipality has launched a Driver’s License Assistance Program aimed at empowering unemployed youths.
This groundbreaking initiative is designed to facilitate eligible individuals in obtaining their driver’s licenses.
Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda’s youth office initiated this pilot project, set to benefit approximately 150 or more young residents annually.

Who Can Apply?
This program primarily targets unemployed youths from disadvantaged backgrounds who encounter obstacles in obtaining a driver’s license independently. To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Age Requirement: Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
No Prior License: Applicants should not possess any form of driving license, including a learner’s license.
