Two people have been killed in a tragic crash on the N2 on Saturday afternoon. The fatal crash between a side tipper truck and a bakkie happened on the N2 highway between Ermelo and Piet Retief.
The loaded side tipper truck toppled onto the bakkie after collision severely entraping it’s two occupants.
Emergency services rushed to the scene immediately after the incident was reported.
Despite their best efforts, the two occupants of the bakkie succumbed to their injuries, tragically losing their lives.

The identities of the victims have not been disclosed pending notification of their next of kin.
The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time, and investigations are underway to determine the circumstances leading to the collision.
