Two people have been in a severe head-on collision between a truck and a taxi on the R614 near the Isinembe turnoff leaving to seven others injured.

The accident occurred just before 3 pm today, casting a somber shadow over the community.

The victims, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 50s who were passengers in the taxi, were pronounced dead at the scene.
