Three people have been killed when a VW team truck and a side tipper truck collided head-on on the N1 between Trompsburg and Springfontein on Sunday morning.

Free State Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Sipho Towa says the deceased were burnt beyond recognition.
The two trucks collided and caught fire trapping the occupants inside.
