Yet another serious truck accident has occurred on the R34/R66 road between Ulundi turn-off and Vryheid involving side tipper trucks.
The two vehicles collided and caught fire. It could not be immediately verified if they were any fatalities.
Not far from the scene, last week, another fiery crash occurred. A side tipper truck crashed into other vehicles which were stuck at an earlier accident scene.
There were no fatalities in that crash.
The community of Mthonjaneni blocked the road on Friday morning protesting the high number of trucks now using the road after they were chased off the N2 following a horrific crash that killed 20 people including 18 primary school pupils.
The R34/R66 was reopened to traffic after a blockade of over four hours.
