According to video footage sent to SA Trucker, the truck can be seen to have lost power as it can be seen struggling to go uphill, emitting significant amounts of smoke..

A witness told this reporter that the truck got stuck on the N2 in the hilly region of Ezingolweni, heading towards Harding.

The driver reportedly stopped to attend to the fault but noticing the danger around him he forced the truck uphill.

Almost luckily for him, police details in the area came to help him to safety.

But, it wasn’t to be, the police officials were not able to stop the rowdy crowd who had gathered after noticing the struggling truck.

They reportedly looted the truck as it snail-paced tackled the hill with police following closely behind but not able to stop the looters.
