A truck driver has been killed after his truck rear-ended another truck on the N3 north at Wardens on Tuesday night.
It’s alleged that a truck belonging to Valucorp Transport Services crashed into the back of another truck in a head-into-tail format.
The truck driver died on the spot.
Speaking to Fleetwatch, the distraught owner of Valucorp Transport Services, Nashalen Govender, confirmed that his driver died on the spot.
The cause of the crash is not known at this stage, however, authorities attended the scene and they will be investigating.
According to the N3TC, the road was closed on both directions after the accident as debris from the wreckage was sprewn all over the roadway.
