A woman was seriously injured after a truck crashed onto the roof of her car on Diaz Road in Millard Grange, Port Elizabeth on Tuesday afternoon.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a truck lost control landing on top of a car on the road below.
Medics assessed the scene and found that a 26-year-old female believed to be the driver of the car sustained serious injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention.
Fire and Rescue Services had to use hydraulic tools to free the patient from the wreckage.
Once treated and stabilised the patient was transported by another private ambulance service to hospital for further treatment.
All necessary authorities were on scene.
