A truck driver has been burned to death after his truck collided with two other trucks on the infamous Kapiri Ngozi mountain in Zambia this morning, Sunday 16 August 2020.
According to a trucker on the scene, a Nissan UD truck coming down the hill is suspected to have lost brakes.
It crashed into another truck climbing up the hill as it was overtaking another truck which was stuck on the road.
Both trucks burst into flames and burned the Nissan UD truck driver to death as he laid trapped in his cab.
The fire quickly consumed the trucks because one of the trucks was transporting chemicals.
The driver of the other truck escaped the inferno while the driver of the broken down truck was not in his truck when the accident happened.
Zambian fire brigade is at the scene fighting the fire off.
Traffic is backed up on the accident scene where the road is completely blocked by the burning trucks.
