A second Greyhound bus caught fire on N5 in the Free State province just slightly over a week after another one exploded in Vereeniging, Gauteng.

The latest bus fire incident happened between Paul Roux and Senekal in Free State on Wednesday, 23 November 2022.

According to the police’s spokesperson, Mmako Mophiring, the bus was travelling from Cape Town in the Western Cape and was en route to Durban in KwaZulu-Natal.

He says all 36 passengers, including three bus drivers, survived unharmed. Only one driver sustained a minor injury to his leg.
