A truck driver was killed and two other people seriously injured when two trucks collided head-on on the Du Toitskloof pass outside Cape Town on Tuesday morning.
One of the trucks dragged away the other’s cab after colliding head-on.
The driver and his passenger were trapped in the cab, sadly nothing could be done to save the trucker’s life.
Du Toitskloof pass was closed off to traffic in both directions following the fatal truck collision.
Traffic chief Kenny Africa said one person was fatally injured. He also said efforts are underway to retrieve two people who remain trapped in the wreckage.
