A collision between a truck and a bakkie transporting construction workers on R389 has left seven people dead and six others injured.
The fatal accident happened on Monday morning at approximately 03h00 on the road between Hanover and Philipstown.
Tom Watson of Rocket HEMS said that the pickup truck was transporting road-side workers, who were seated in the back of the truck.
“The pick-up truck crashed head-on with an articulated Scania truck,” said Watson.
