It was a horribly bad day in office for three armed robbers who attempted to rob a shop at The Glen Mall on Saturday morning.
They were caught on Amanda Avenue outside The Glen Shopping Centre in Oakdene.
Firstly, their robbery of a Telkom shop was foiled by security guards. Then, their bid to flee the scene was also foiled when they targeted a wrong car to hijack.
They hijacked a motorist, believed to be an Uber driver, who unfortunately for them was armed.
When they threw him out of his car, he pulled out his gun and sprayed them with bullets. The driving robber was hit in the leg immobilising him and the car.
By that time, the chasing Fidelity ADT Security along with the centre security arrived and apprehended the suspects.
