Dashcam Captures SANDF Rooikat Spinning Out Of Control Before Crashing on N1, Bloemfontein

Dashcam footage has revealed how a South Africa National Defence Forces (SANDF) Rooikat tanker crashed into the road barriers on N1 north about 20km after Bloemfontein on Saturday afternoon.

Videos and pictures of the aftermath of the SANDF Rooikat tanker accident went viral on social media immediately after.

Dashcam video captured from a vehicle that the Rooikat tanker was passing when it crashed has emerged online.

In the 59 seconds video clip, the Rooikat tanker can be seen passing the recording vehicle which is doing 81km/h. It starts swerving around uncontrollably before it crashes onto the left-hand side road barriers.

The cause of the crash is not known at this stage.
