Four die in truck vs taxi crash on N8 at Maseru border post

Four people have been killed in an accident involving a truck and a 22-seater Iveco minibus taxi on the N8 at Maseru border post on Tuesday morning.

22 other people survived the crash but sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.

It’s alleged that the truck driver lost control of the truck due to a suspected brake failure and crashed into the minibus taxi on the SA side of the border post.

Mondli Mvambi, spokesperson of the Free State Department of Health, says the incident reportedly happened earlier today.

Some vendors who were on their stalls were among the injured.
