Five people have been killed in a head-on crash between a truck and a car on the R510 near Amandabelt in Limpopo on Wednesday morning.
Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety’s Mike Maringa says the crash occurred on Wednesday morning.
“The driver of a Ford sedan was trying to avoid a stray animal on the roadway and swerved to the oncoming traffic.
The sedan collided head-on with a Scania truck. All the occupants in the sedan were certified dead on the scene.”
This is the latest in a series of deadly crashes on the province’s roads.
“Eight people died on the Limpopo roads between Friday and Sunday this past weekend,” said Maringa.
