Pics: Hijackers caught red-handed offloading loot at a church in Parrow, Cape Town

Police in conjunction with private security have recovered a stolen container which was fully loaded with Corona beers at a church in Parow Cape Town on Tuesday night.

The freight container was stolen in a truck hijacking that happened on Monday in Milnerton. It’s alleged the truck was stopped by robbers in police uniforms who then proceeded and hijack the truck and trailer.

The Freightliner truck was found abandoned moments later in Wallacedene but the trailer was nowhere to be found.

On Tuesday night, information was received that the container was being offloaded at Love Word Ministries situated at 26 Milner Street, Parow.

SAPS and private security personnel pounced on the hijackers and managed to arrest 12 suspects who they found offloading the loot into the church.

The team seized 1557 cases of Corona beer which had been offloaded at the church premises.

The arrested suspects will appear in court soon.
