A man was left in critical condition when a truck reversed over him outside a shop in Ermelo CBD on Wednesday morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 08h45 to find the man lying next to the truck in the parking area.
It is understood that community members had pulled the man from beneath the truck.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
The man was treated and provided with several advanced life support interventions before being transported to Ermelo Provincial Hospital for urgent care.
Circumstances leading to the unfortunate incident are not known, however, local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
