A member of the South African Defence Forces was killed after a runaway truck overturned landing on top of him.
The accident happened on Tuesday morning at a roadblock to enforce lockdown regulations on N12 near The Glen Mall in Joburg south.
The truck drove into the roadblock and overturned before it landed on top of the soldier.
It is suspected that the driver had lost control of the truck because he continously hooted as he approached the roadblock.
The truck driver was injured and he was taken to hospital.
National police spokesperson Vishnu Naidoo said they will be investigating a culpable homicide case.
