Pretoria – A truck driver was seriously injured when his truck collided into the back of another truck on N1 north just outside Pretoria on Friday night.
The trucker sustained serious head and chest injuries as well as a leg fracture following the serious two truck collision.
Medi-Edge attended to the accident scene on the N1 north after the Wallmannsthal off-ramp at around 21:00.
“The driver of the truck sustained serious injuries. He was assessed and treated on the scene before being transported to Jubilee hospital,” said Medi-Edge emergency medical service.
Medi-Edge reported that recovery operations went on until Saturday morning because of the seriousness of the accident.
The police are set to investigate the exact cause of the accident.
