Tragedy struck on the R36 Road between Bambi and Lydenburg this afternoon when two side tipper trucks collided head-on, resulting in the loss of three lives.
The victims of this devastating incident include one truck driver and two passengers.
The other truck driver sustained critical injuries and was urgently airlifted to a nearby hospital.
Contrary to initial reports, no buses were involved in this crash, said the Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security, and Liaison spokesperson Moeti Mmusi.
