Two people injured in a collision on the N2 North opposite the old Amanzimtoti CBD

Just after 14h00 on Thursday afternoon, Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision on the N2 North opposite the old Amanzimtoti CBD.

Reports from the scene indicate that a trailer with a load of Building material overturned, some of the load struck another vehicle in the side causing it to leave the roadway and crash into the barriers.

Paramedics arrived and found the roadway totally obstructed with accident debris and the wreckage of the overturned trailer. Two people from the bakkie sustained moderate injuries while the two elderly people from the car escaped uninjured.

The injured were treated at the scene before they transported them to a nearby hospital for the care that they required.
