Watch: N1 inbound closed at Plattekloof, Cape Town due to multi-vehicle crash

Updated: The N1 inbound is closed at Plattekloof in Cape Town following a pile-up crash involving an articulated truck and several other vehicles.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes as all the inbound lanes are obstructed by the truck.

It’s not known how long the road closure will be in effect.

Cape Town Traffic Services spokesperson, Kevin Jacobs said a total of 12 vehicles were involved in the crash including three trucks.

Circumstances were under investigation but it was suspected that an articulated truck jackknifed and collided with several cars.

One person sustained minor injuries and there were no fatalities.
