A woman, teenage girl killed in Tongaat truck accident

A woman and a teenage girl have been killed after being knocked over by a truck in the Tongaat CBD on the north coast.
Initial reports are that the two pedestrians were mother and daughter.

They were hit by the tip truck while allegedly trying to cross the road in the vicinity of the taxi rank at around 7-45. IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst.

“Our advance life support paramedics arrived on scene and found both the victims unfortunately passed away due to the very extensive injuries. Local authorities are on scene – no one else sustained any injuries,” he said.
