A truck driver has been killed in a rear-end collision involving two trucks on the N3 Durbanbound on Wednesday morning.
ALS paramedics spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson says it’s understood at this stage that two trucks collided in a rear end format.
“The accident left the one driver severely entrapped in the wreckage.”
“Paramedics from EMRS and ALS Paramedics assessed the male driver, believed to be forty years of age however he had sustained major injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.”

“The Durban Fire Department were on scene and used the Jaws of Life and other hydraulic equipment to cut the man free.”
“It is alleged that the one truck was broken down when the second truck went into the rear of it however SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further.”
