A truck driver and his passenger were killed when their truck crashed on the R617 road at Lundies Hill in KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday afternoon.
Underburg EMS responded to the accident to find both truck occupants out of the truck and unresponsive.
“On arrival, paramedics found a tip lorry on its side blocking most of the roadway,”
“On assessment, it was found that the driver and passenger had been ejected from the truck and unfortunately succumbed to their injuries,” said UEMS.
Paramedics declared both dead occupants deceased.
It’s alleged that the driver lost control of the tipper truck while driving downhill and crashed.
It’s not known what caused the accident, however, authorities attended the scene and will be investigating further.
