Two people have been injured in an accident involving a side tipper interlink truck and a bakkie on the N3 eastbound at Townhill near Pietermaritzburg.
Midlands EMS Pietermaritzburg crews where dispatched to the crash scene just after Peter Brown road.
Upon arrival, paramedics discovered that a truck and a bakkie had been involved in a crash with the bakkie sustaining extensive damage.
Both occupants from the bakkie sustained moderate injuries, they were treated by an advanced life support paramedic and transported to hospital for further care.

The exact cause of the accident is not known however, local authorities were there to investigate.
